Rockingham Motor Speedway in Northamptonshire
is a 1-1/2 mile banked oval race track allowing MAC TOOLS V8 Trophy cars to run
at speeds in excess of 170 mph.
In 2002 the USA "Champ Car" series, featuring
household names including Michael Andretti, Dario Francitti, Paul
Tracey, Team Penski & Team Rahal, ran their single seater cars
at Rockingham at speeds in excess of 220 mph
